Dr. Sarah Suleri is an experienced NNg Certified interaction designer with over eight years of industry experience, including four years of design experience as an individual contributor and over three years of experience leading teams on high impact product design and design systems initiatives. She is skilled in various areas of design, including User-centred Design, Interaction Design, Heuristics of Usability, Competitor Analysis, Usability Analysis, User Personas, Information Architecture, UX Writing, Prototyping, Wireframing, User Flows, A/B Testing, UI Design, Visual Design, Requirement Engineering, and Design Systems. Sarah has a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from RWTH Aachen University, where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude. Sarah has designed mobile (Android, iOS), web, and desktop applications and has a keen interest in emerging technologies such as AI and voice interfaces. She combines Design, Art, and Technology to create interactive and immersive artworks. Sarah facilitates Design Sprints, holds workshops on UX and UI, and gives public talks on Design and Creative Technology. Currently, Sarah is working as a Design Manager at SmartRecruiters, where she collaborates with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand user and business requirements and provide innovative solutions following agile methodology. She is responsible for defining and maintaining the custom design system in collaboration with other product designers to ensure design consistency and improve design handover to the development team. Sarah creates wireframes, paper and digital prototypes for cross-platform mobile (Android, iOS), web, and desktop applications and conducts usability evaluations. Sarah has accomplished many things throughout her career, including completely revamping the SmartRecruiters' website based on business and customer needs, doubling the number of sales leads for business development. She implemented a new Design System to unify component development and cut down redesign effort. Sarah advocated for prioritization of user-centred design changes leading to the improved user experience of internal and external processes across different departments. She presented design proposals and study findings to varying stakeholders in a visually simplistic and easily understandable manner to improve the exposure of design changes across the board. Before joining SmartRecruiters, Sarah worked as a Senior Interaction Designer at Scanbot and as a Lecturer at Fraunhofer FIT. In both roles, she collaborated with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand user and business requirements and provide innovative solutions following agile methodology.
